5 Ways to Get Prepared for Your Summer Wedding

Summer is almost here and that means…wedding season! If you’re a bride-to-be, you’re probably feeling a little stressed, finishing plans and organising the final touches in preparation for your big day – not to mention preparation for a relaxing honeymoon to recuperate afterwards! All brides want to look and feel flawless whilst walking down the aisle, so we’ve compiled a list of top tips, not only to help you make sure you’re a glowing and gorgeous bride, but to get you rocking the beach look too.

  1. Rest & Relaxation

It goes without saying that planning a wedding can be extremely stressful, so it’s imperative that you get plenty of rest! The amount of sleep we need depends on our individual needs, and you probably have an idea of how much you need in order to feel at your best. It’s usually around seven or eight hours. By getting enough sleep, not only will you feel more energised and eager to tackle any wedding complications, but you’ll also look better.

  1. Exercise

Few of us want to, but including exercise within your daily regime will not only help you to become healthier but will help sleep to come easier. Whether you dance around your kitchen or go for a walk with friends, it all contributes to getting your body moving. Not only does keeping fit help the body to feel better, but it can also help with mental stress and increasing blood circulation.

  1. Stay Hydrated

This may sound like a simple one, but it’s also a vital one! Many of us don’t realise how key water is to our general health and wellbeing, both physical and mental. Keeping your water bottle as a new accessory will become the norm if you make the effort to have it with you at all times. Keep it filled throughout the day to help you to beat any hankerings for chocolate or excessive comfort eating.

  1. Get Silky Smooth Skin

For many brides, smooth skin is at the top of their list when it comes to looking and feeling their best on their wedding day. Be sure to eliminate hair a few days before the big day; this will help to ensure that your skin is relaxed and rash-free before the big day. If you’ve never been waxed before, make sure that your pre-wedding wax isn’t your first, and also remember to patch-test before using any new product! Having a few waxing sessions, such as our popular treatments, in the lead-up to the wedding will not only help to ease any worries but will also reduce the amount of hair regrowth, often making future waxes less painful.

  1. Pamper Yourself…

…Or have someone else do it for you! There’s a huge amount of preparation involved in planning a big celebration, but you also need to schedule some ‘you’ time! Whether you prefer to book you and your bridesmaids into the classiest spa around for a massage, or you’d like a pretty manicure, make sure that you dedicate some time to spoiling yourself. At Wax Away, we offer Pamper Packages, which are specially designed for upcoming brides and their tribes!
