Fuller eyebrows are back in fashion and it looks like they’re here to stay a while! Try and step away from the tweezers for a few weeks and let your eyebrows grow naturally, and then when you feel you have reached your limit of letting them grow, get them done professionally first to get the shape right, then continue a tidy up at home, as and when required.
Try not to get “tweezer-happy” and over-pluck trying to match both eyebrows (We’ve all been there!) as sometimes brows will grow back patchy… or not at all! Most people don’t have matching eyebrows anyway so don’t stress yourselves too much if they don’t match.
If you find that you’re struggling to grow your eyebrows, try dipping a cotton bud into Black Castor Oil and rub that into the gaps (or the patchy area you want the hair to grow back in), every night for a couple of weeks or so and see if that makes a difference. Black Castor Oil can be easily purchased from local shops or online and has been found to help promote hair growth by stimulating the hair follicles.
There are various lash and brow serums on the market as well as vitamin supplements which are worth a try – but don’t be fooled by expensive gimmicks that might never work. Sometimes the best and only option is using makeup/brow pencil to make your brows appear thicker – at least until they grow back.
If you find that whatever you try, your eyebrows just won’t grow back, then semi-permanent makeup is another emerging trend that is worth looking at. Yes, it can be pricey, but it will definitely help you save time with your makeup routine every morning for a couple of years (or until you have a top up) and I’ve seen it work effectively on so many people that I’m tempted to try it myself! Of course, there’s risks with any form of tattoos/needlework so do your research to find a reputable salon or therapist who will treat you with care and follow the correct Health and Safety guidelines.
Having a good pair of eyebrows can really help shape and define your face- as well as give you that much needed confidence boost. So make sure you look after them, get them done professionally when you can, and keep them tidied between appointments if required. You will be surprised at how much of a difference they can actually make to you!
